kayleearafinwiel Here I am! B2MEM is soon to be upon us, and once again, as back in 2012, it's a Bingo Card game! I'm excited to participate. I'm going to try not to claim cards I already tried last time (this year, only ten can officially be "claimed"), though I'm going to try and write for the previous cards as well. I just won't be able to use unclaimed cards to "win". :)
I've been having a lot of Real Life going on lately.
So much has been going on that I've barely been writing at all, except co-writing stuff occasionally with AfricanDaisy (and even she's been doing much more independent writing than me.) Most of the Real Life stuff involves taking care of mom, who's been recovering from hammer toe surgery. It's stressful for both of us, but I'm doing my best to do what she wants and needs. It's just been a lot of stress...so much so that the anniversary of Atto Fiondil's death came and went without it even registering until days later. My annual re-read of Larner's fics for the Professor, too. Most of the holidays were difficult. All of January was a blur, and I'm sorry to everyone for it :( Especially to the LOTR Gfic mods - they asked me to be one and I completely failed at it. I've even failed at attending the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) events and meetings like I've wanted to.
I feel like I'm just whining or ranting, so I'll stop that now and just apologize one more time. I hope everyone's been well, and I'm hoping B2MEM will be a welcome distraction and reintroduction into something happier.
Have any of you decided which B2MEM cards you're going to claim, and what direction you'll take your works? One big connected thing, or a lot of small things?

At least there's no pressure about length and no actual deadline - I've had about enough of those lately. And I do love SWG Bingo!
I worry about the lotr_com, it's been very quiet. I need to post more on the archive again, I've got lazy and just shove everything up on AO3 and promise I'll add it to the archives I use later. And later doesn't always happen.
Do hope your mom is recovering now.

Date: 2019-02-14 05:22 pm (UTC)I've been missing the LOTR GFic group, still hoping it can be active again, even a little bit. I need to do my part by updating my fics at MPTT, I'm definitely behind on that. It's hard when Life gets heavy, and it's just too much to keep up with all the things we love and want to do! Hopefully you can get back into the flow of your traditions. Trust your mom is doing better now, too, and that you are feeling less stressed out!

I hope things get active again soon too! Mom's doing mostly better. She'll be heading back to work on Monday (though that's a training day, she won't be dealing with the kids again until Tuesday) so hopefully she'll be able to manage.

I should have written down the names of the cards next to them, and I think at least one of them is wrong - Hurt/Comfort 2, I think I changed my mind on it. I tried going to the submission form to see if I could get it back to see what I actually submitted, but I can't seem to get it back. If there's a way to get the B2MEM mods to tell me that would be fantastic, lol.
Your cards sound great and I can't wait to see what you do with them!!
